Hillary to Lena Dunham "If you can't get excited, be pragmatic and do it anyway."

Wow. Yeah, let's vote for a candidate that doesn't excite us so we get Kerry and 2004 all over again.

In an interview with Lena Dunham, Hillary tells young woman to be "pragmatic":

"...So I’m going to vote for X or Y. Not because I think that person is perfect, but it’s going to be better than the alternative. If you can’t get excited, be pragmatic and do it anyway,” Clinton said. Yeah, that's inspiring. Vote for me because I'm better than the alternative. In the General election maybe, but Hillary is definatley not better than the alternative in the Primary.

And besides... "vote for me because the other guys are even worse!" is not a way to excite people.

But from the same interview:

“And sometimes, it is choices between people that none of whom excite you, but study it enough to figure out, OK, if I vote for this person over that person, I’m more likely to see progress on something I care about.” Exactly! She's on to something! If I vote for Bernie over Hillary I'm more likely to  expand Medicare, take on the big banks, get paid leave and maternity leave, single payer health care, free college tuition, better trade deals, and many other great things.

I'm much more likely to get those things with Bernie. Why?

Because he's willing to fight for them!

I don't want a candidate who basically says "Why bother trying to get the things we want? They're not going to let us have them anyways so let's just do some muddling middle of the road thing that EVERYONE is going to hate. Let's NOT take on the big banks because they're too powerful! Let's NOT take on the political system like Citizen's United and Super PACs because what's the point?! We're not going to win! Let's not re-instate Glass Steigal because that'll never happen."

Yeah that's a leader I want to follow into battle. No sense to even try.

I swear if we nominate Hillary, with type of inspiring talk,  I'm almost positive we'll lose the White House. If we win it'll be by the skin of our teeth.

Personally I think with Bernie we have a good chance of not only keeping the White House but taking back one or both of the Houses of Congress. Why?

Because he's someone who's fighting for us and people want to fight for him!

I want a leader who tells us what we can get done if we put our minds and effort to it. Not someone who says, "Look. This is the best we can do. Vote for me so it doesn't get any worse."

That's basically what Hillary saidin that interview.

Donate to Bernie today so we can have someone in the White House who is FIGHTING FOR US!
